      Hi Smith,

A medical device is any device used to diagnose or treat a medical condition.

An example of a simple medical device is a thermometer to monitor someones temperature. An example of a complex medical device would be an MRI machine to image your brain.

My work is about building new medical imaging systems (like X-ray) which are low-cost, safe and comfortable for the patient.

I’ll leave this to the specialists! You’ve got two medical device experts in here so I won’t dare answer.
